- Began career with Harding & Shelton, Inc. working the Anadarko Basin where the primary focus was conventional exploitation of Pennsylvanian, Mississippian and Devonian age reservoirs and horizontal exploitation on the Tonkawa and Cleveland sandstones in Dewey County, Oklahoma
- Geologist at Chesapeake Energy from 2010-2014 and planned over 200 wells and geo-steered over 60 Marcellus wells in northeast Pennsylvania; part of a team that built production up to two BCF/day in a matter of three years
- While at Chesapeake Energy, worked on the Regional Studies and New Ventures team conducting basin-wide geological studies and generating new play ideas in the northeast United States, primarily the Appalachia Basin
- Prior to Whitehorse Energy served as Vice President at Wells Fargo on the Acquisition and Divestiture team where he was part of a group that successfully sold over $6 billion worth of assets in basins across the United States including: Anadarko Basin, Delaware Basin, Appalachia Basin, East Texas, Eagle Ford, Arkoma Basin, Green River Basin and the Uinta Basin
